Visit Brideshead Revisited Boutique this Thursday!

Brideshead Revisited has opened up a boutique at the top of the Wedding Library (43 East 78th Street). I encourage you all to come by and try on some veils, pins, ribbons and combs.  They have these great french veils and bubble veils which I loooovee.  I will  be there to talk about anything to do with makeup.  BHR's owners, ALex and Emily are super sweet and accomodating. Think the opposite of the hard sell at Kleinfelds!!!  Please RSVP and come visit.

Laura Nadeau of Lo & Co. Makeup Artists will be visiting the Bride’s Head Revisited Boutique on Thursday, October 16th from 6:00 to 8:00. We are very excited to have the fabulous Laura at the Boutique, brides can stop by and learn some great fast makeup tips for the perfect “bridal glow” and also see our full line of designs - including a sneak peak at our Spring 2009 Collection! Laura is the makeup artist extraordinaire over at Lo & Co. Not only does she do beautiful makeup, she is a delight to work with. Lo's favorite fall shadow!

Over the last month I have fallen in love with a M.A.C. eyeshadow called Anitqued.  I had almost forgotten about this color until I met my fab bride, Malena who was getting married at The Foundry in L.I.C. (an old metal foundry).  Malena was all about metal and all about a bold eye (gotta love her!)

Antiqued is a coppery shadow that is perfect for anyone with a little red in their hair and it contrasts beautifully with brown or green eyes.  When we put this on her eyes we knew we found the perfect color for her!  This color can be quite bold if used by itself or one can layer it on top of a brown or gold shadow for a little pop.  I also love to accent this coppery eye with the M.A.C. shadow, Sumptuous Olive.  I put a little along the lash line and/or on the inner rim of the eye to pop those green/brown eyes.  Try it and let me know what you think?
