I am sure that all of you are extremely frustrated with the economy and the pending bailout for reckless and unscrupulous financial dealings. I know that all of us would have loved if the government would have bailed out our "reckless" spending such as college loans, medical expenses, and shoe accidents. However, this morning I saw a glimmer of hope, a ray of light in our dire situation while watching MSNBC correspondent Nora O'Donnell. It wasn't what she said or how she said it, rather the fact that I loved how her makeup was done. I generally cringe while seeing overly contured eye makeup and unnatual skin tone on news programs. But much to my surprise, Nora's makeup was exactly what I like: tight eyeliner on the top (pulling focus to the top of her blue eyes), no liner underneath. Subtle eyeshadow colors which enhance her eye shape. Blush on the apples of her cheeks which makes her look healthy not like a decorated warrior, and a sheer lip gloss which brightens her skin tone. Okay, so it isn't going to save our economic situation but it brings a smile to my face when I see baby steps taken to changing the world one face at a time. If we have to watch our world go down the toilet at least we can see it going down beautifully.
